Live Oak Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory Status

Due to flooding from Tropical Storm Debby, the Live Oak Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory is currently closed.   At this time, samples shipped or mailed to the laboratory are not deliverable.

Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) serology should be submitted directly to the Bronson Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory.  Poultry serology should be submitted directly to the Poultry Diagnostic and Research Center (PDRC). USDA program serology for Brucellosis, Pseudorabies and Johne’s disease should be submitted directly to the National Veterinary Services Laboratories (NVSL).

Planning is underway to reestablish operations at Live Oak Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory as soon as possible.  Notifications will be provided as testing operations are reestablished.
