Kentucky Fall Classic Wrap-Up: November 11-14, 2010

Lexington, KY – November 17, 2010 – It was a weekend full of gorgeous and unseasonably warm weather for the Kentucky Fall Classic. The event was held in the New Alltech Indoor Arena November 11-14, 2010 and featured the areas top hunters and jumpers.

Alliy Moyer took home both the champion and reserve champion honors in the Junior Hunter division. She showed Safari to the championship prize and was awarded the reserve championship tricolor for her ride aboard Momentus.

Later in the day, Susan Moriconi was awarded the championship prize in the Adult Amateur Hunter division on her horse, Liberty. Anne Molnar took home the reserve championship prize for her ride aboard Apriol.

In the Baby Green Hunter division, Tammy Provost and Holiday, owned by Ashley Romano, were presented with two first place ribbons to win the championship prize. Chris Payne showed M. K. Equine Holding’s Gracious to the reserve championship award.

Chris Payne riding Clooney, owned by Wee Interprises, claimed championship honors during the Pre-Green 3′ division, while Stevie McCarron took home the reserve championship award riding Good Call owned by Kelley Corrigan.

Jacqui Christenson riding Guaranteed Success, owned by Brenda Christenson, had the blue ribbon ride during the Ariat National Adult Medal. In the THIS National Children’s Medal, it was Jessica Hirish riding Knight Call, owned by Christine Hannon, to score the top call.

William Woods University brought many horses to the jumper portion of the show this weekend. Jacque Franco won two divisions of the Hopeful Jumpers and all three divisions of Low Child/Adult .91m Jumpers with Vienna, owned by William Woods University.

Jennifer Fick riding her horse, Walter, and Jenny Gordon riding her horse, Top Gun, each won a class during the Low Schooling Jumpers 1m. Vainqueur, owned by William Woods University, won the last division of Low Schooling Jumpers 1m with Melissa Smith in the irons. Josie Shae Oldham riding Lehmann, owned by Callie Schott won the first class of Medium Schooling Jumpers 1..07m, while Holly Schmitt and YZ Wellie 65 won the second class Jennifer Fick showed Diamond to the win in the final class.

Derek Braun won the first class in the High Schooling Jumpers 1.15m with Collooney owned by Split Rock Farm, Inc. and then showed Lacarolus owned by MRN Family Group, to victory in the second class. Alison Leclerc and her talented mare Rebecca won the third class.

Josie Shae Oldham was the winner of the NAL/WIHS Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic aboard Lehmann, owned by Callie Schott. During the NAL/WIHS Children’s/Adult Hunter Classic it was Dana Dettmer who showed Tempo to the victory.

The New Alltech Indoor Arena recently hosted events for the very successful 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. It features state-of-the-art Otto Sport Footing that was installed specifically for the Kentucky Fall Horse Shows. These events offered the perfect opportunity to begin preparing for 2011 horse shows in a beautiful, climate-controlled venue.
