Lexington, KY – The 2012 Show Jumping European Young and Junior Rider Tour makes its third stop this week in Hagen, Germany. Two weeks ago, the U.S. cruised to a second place finish in the Nations Cup at CSIOJY Reims, France and will look to go one better in their final European competition. Michele Grubb will again serve as Chef d’Equipe after leading the U.S. to their success in Reims. The CSIOJY Hagen will run June 13-17.

In Reims, Annie Cook (Woodside, CA) and Lydia Ulrich (Rochester, NY) led the U.S. to their second place finish by way of producing double clears in the Nations Cup.

Alise Oken (Charlotte, NC) heads to Hagen looking to showcase the form that propelled her to a double clear effort at the Nations Cup in Bonheiden. Chloe Reid (Washington, DC) jumped in her first Nations Cup in Reims and will utilize the experience this week in Germany.

A fresh face will also be competing for the U.S. as Catherine Pasmore joins the 2012 Tour. Pasmore (Wellington, FL) was a member of the 2011 Show Jumping European Young Rider Tour that collected two second place Nations Cup finishes in Belgium and France. While at the CSIOY Lamprechtshausen, Pasmore helped the U.S. jump to Nations Cup victory.

Jennifer Goddard (Fort Solanga, NY) will also represent the U.S. in CSIOY classes this week in Hagen. Goddard has been gaining a wealth of experience jumping in Europe this summer and was the winner of two classes in Bonheiden.

Rounding out the U.S. contingent in Germany this week is Sydney Shulman who will jump in CSIOJ classes. Starting off the tour, Shulman (Greenwich, CT) won three 1.20m competitions in Belgium and was 12th in the PX Haras Nationaux at Reims.

CSIOY Nations Cup competition will take place Saturday June 16, 2012 at 12:15pm CEST.
