Wellington, FL (March 9, 2010) – Olympic dressage rider Bent Jensen knows how to entertain a crowd, and he did just that with a Las Vegas-style performance that landed him in the winner’s circle at the Players Club & Restaurant’s most recent Top Shelf Dressage under the Stars competition. Jensen, wearing glasses and a wizard’s hat, turned in an outstanding passage tour set to electrifying music to win the evening’s competition on his 13-year-old Dutch gelding Liberty Light.
“Bent gave us a performance to remember,” said Paul Griffo, Manager of the Players Club. “Bent was the overall winner of Dressage under the Stars two years ago on the same horse, and you could tell by his performance this time around that he’s in it to win. In addition to being a talented and accomplished dressage rider, Bent is also a showman and he certainly gave the audience a great show.”
Griffo said the competition is heating up as Dressage under the Stars moves toward its finale on Wednesday, March 17th. “The winner of the finale will need help carrying home all of their prizes,” Griffo said. “Not only will they get a check for $2,500 from the Players Club, but they will also win a dressage saddle from Custom Saddlery. More than $10,000 in prizes will be given out the night of the finale. It is going to be an amazing evening and a great wrap-up to our weekly Wednesday night competition.”
When you’re first learning something new, you usually try too hard. We all do that. Once we have the skills we find we can achieve the same thing with little effort.
Life is like that too. Sometimes you just need to sit back and let things unfold. In some ways the less you do, the more that flows to you.
Where in your life to you do TOO much? What if it could be effortless?
Try doing less this week. See what happens, and notice what comes to you on its own.
Meet me at the barn and let’s see how little you have to do for success to show up!
Cesar Parra is thrilled with how the season in Florida is unfolding for his students at Piaffe-Performance. L-R: Chase Hickok, John McGinty, Parra and Katie Riley at the White Fences Dressage Show in Loxahatchee.
Loxahatchee, FL (March 9, 2010) – While international dressage rider Cesar Parra has been taking top places at this season’s CDIs, his team of riders at Piaffe-Performance have also been working hard. Their hard work paid off at the recent White Fences Dressage show, where Parra’s riders were able to test their skills and take a few victory passes of their own.
“It was a fun and successful show made possible by the combined efforts of everyone on the team,” Parra said. “Despite the below average temperatures and rain, all of our horses and riders put forth a fantastic effort, riding with elegance, skill and determination. They really made it a pleasure to watch and coach.”
Parra is thrilled with how the season is unfolding in Florida, and said the White Fences Dressage show was a success for all who participated. “Nadine and Whopie Gold started the day off right with a beautiful 2nd Level test, winning the class,” Parra said. “Nadine also had an impressive ride on the Reed’s Superman. It is not only interesting to see the horses grow up, but also very rewarding.”
