February 15, 2012 – Gulfport, MS – Beginning this week at the Gulf Coast Winter Classics, Amateur and Adult Jumpers will have a dream prize up for grabs! Running from this second week of competition through the end of the fifth week – February 15th through March 4th – competitors in the Amateur and Adult Jumper sections will be awarded points toward a fabulous South American adventure.

Henry Jota Sporthorse Auction, Accolade Farm, and Eduardo Braun are the sponsors who will be awarding two free trips to beautiful Buenos Aires, Argentina for December 2013 to attend the Henry Jota Sporthorse Auction.  “I was completely surprised and thrilled when Eduardo suggested this wonderful prize. And I’ve no doubt the jumper competition is going to really heat up with this announcement!” said Bob Bell, President of the Classic Company and co-chair of the Gulf Coast Classics.

Over the course of the next four weeks of jumper competition for the Amateurs and the Adults, points will be accumulated: points will be awarded in all Amateur and Adult jumper classes and their respective classics.  At the conclusion of week five – March 4th – all points for each section will be tallied and the highest scoring Amateur and highest scoring Adult jumper will be awarded the grand prize.

The trip awards include roundtrip airfare from any major US city offering nonstop service to Buenos Aires, hotel expenses, and admission to the Henry Jota Sporthorse Auction. “There is no obligation to purchase a horse whatsoever. We want the winners to simply enjoy the area and see what we have to offer our sport,” said Eduardo Braun. “Our guest will be invited to several dinner parties during their stay too.”

The 2012 Gulf Coast Winter Classics began February 8th and runs six weeks of Hunter Jumper Competitions and hospitality through March 18th at the Harrison County Equestrian Center in Gulfport, MS.  Additional details on this fantastic prize can be obtained by contacting Eduardo Braun at 904-806-0627 or stopping by the show office during the Gulf Coast Winter Classics.
