“We’ll polish our best tack and saddle our best horses for the most important championship we’ll ever show in – the battle to fight cancer for our little warriors!” said Steed. Photo Credit: Jim Davis Photo.com.

Wellington, FL – July 25, 2014 – The Wellington Summer Festival is coming up soon and it is more than just a horse show. Running August 1-3, the USEF A-rated hunter/jumper show will be presented by LaLa Land Productions and Castlewood Farm. In its first year, the Wellington Summer Festival is proud to announce their charity partnership with Kids Cancer Foundation.

Held at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center, the Wellington Summer Festival will feature three days of a wide array of hunter and jumper divisions. Throughout the weekend, the show starts at 8 a.m., with schooling available Thursday, July 31, from 1-5 p.m. The Jacobs Family/Wellington Preservation Coalition Hunter Classic will occur Saturday at approximately 5 p.m. in the Jim Brandon covered arena. On Sunday, there will be a $10,000 Open Stake (1.4m) Jumper class. Jim Brandon’s covered arena is now equipped with fantastic, new footing.

In addition to Saturday’s Jacobs Family/Wellington Preservation Coalition Hunter Classic, Rick Steed, Reined Cow Horse World Champion and master showman of Horse Show by Appointment, will be on hand to perform. Steed is always a crowd favorite wherever he performs.

Also on Saturday night, the Kids Cancer Foundation will host a Social with food and drink as well as a Kids Fun Activity Center. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction, benefiting the Kids Cancer Foundation. The Kids Cancer Foundation, Inc.’s mission is to “provide hope and support to children and their families battling childhood cancer.”

If you would like to support the Kids Cancer Foundation with an item for auction on Saturday Night, please contact Sandy Erb at (561) 801-3420.

We look forward to seeing you and your loved ones at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center on Saturday, August 2nd. Whatever support you may provide to this great local charity will be appreciated! Donations/auction items are tax-deductible.
