Dutch Rider Wins Four-Star Class in Strzegom

Jordy Wilken was victorious in the CCI4*-S, the highest ranked class during Strzegom Spring Open.

Cross-country trials on Saturday concluded the rivalry in the short-format classes. The four-star ended with some major changes in the leaderboard. Jordy Wilken with the 15-year-old Burry Spirit went up from the 31st into the 15th position after dressage thanks to a clear round in the jumping. The cross-country trial granted him first place when he galloped through the course clear on the fences with only some time faults. Second place went to the leader after jumping, German rider Andreas Dibowski aboard FRH Corrida. Katrin Khoddam-Hazrati (AUT) was third with DSP Cosma. The best Polish rider of the class was Joanna Pawlak with Fantastic Frieda, who finished 14th.

The winner of the CCI3*-S class was Alina Dibowski (GER) with Polish-bred Barbados 26. Second place went to Kamil Rajnert (POL) with Emilia of Chin, and third to the father of the winner, Andreas Dibowski riding Calahari.

The best rider of the CCI2*-S class was Esteban Benitez Vallena with Escara GP. The Spanish athlete was third after dressage, and moved up to win after clear rounds in the jumping and cross-country. Lisa Held (AUT) with Charis E was second, and Vanessa Bölting (GER) with Ready to Go W finished third.

Miloslav Příhoda (CZE) won the Intro class riding Alantino, Roland Pulsinger (AUT) with Colloredo was second, and Johanna Pohjonen (FIN) with Amelie M took home third place.

Strzegom Spring Open was the first international show of the eventing season in Poland. 6 classes were played out, with 150 athletes from 14 countries competing with 250 horses.
