Wellington, FL – February 2, 2011 – Tonight marks the opening night for Dressage under the Stars, sponsored this evening by Quantum Saddle Ltd. Held at The world famous Players Club Bar & Grille, which is the premiere venue for International caliber competition, riders will allow their equine partners to shine under the stars. The high energy and hugely popular “musical freestyles” shall take place patio-side where an audience of over 400 will sip cocktails and dine both ring side and on the second story patio.

Each Wednesday during the winter equestrian season in Palm Beach, the elegance of dressage is showcased under the magic of starlight. In only its third season, DRESSAGE UNDER THE STARS has become one of The Winter Equestrian calendar’s most anticipated events. Five horse and rider combinations perform weekly for cash prizes and the opportunity to return to for the eighth week’s Champion round where the winner takes away a grand prize consisting of lavish gifts and a very large check. This event consistently attracts the BEST international caliber riders in south Florida.

“We are pleased to host the U.S. premiere of Quantum Saddle Ltd. at opening night of Dressage under the Stars. Their commitment to supporting the efforts of our riders is most impressive. We share in the genuine appreciation for these efforts with the entire Dressage community,” commented Dressage under the Stars Producer Steve Williams.

Designed and fabricated in Great Britain, Quantum Saddle launched in North America at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in 2010. Presented in Wellington during the equestrian winter circuits, this award winning saddle provides a revolutionary no compromise solution for both horse and rider. Ted Rekai-Nuttall, Quantum’s North American Agent, will be on hand to present a saddle to tonight’s winner, a prize valued at $5,000.

“Quantum is pleased to support this elegant and entertaining evening showcasing the sport of Dressage. One can only imagine what amazing performances such as the ones we have seen tonight would look like had they been ridden in a saddle that allows for greater range of motion such as is afforded by Quantum technology in the AMS-D dressage saddle,” added Rekai-Nuttall.

This year, Dressage under the Stars has really raised the bar for guests and riders alike. Over the course of eight consecutive Wednesdays, beginning tonight, prizes will be awarded, including cash, champagne, VIP passes to the table service sponsorship tent at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, and numerous other gifts which include a new saddle.

Tonight’s riders include: Chris Von Martels, Tom Dvorak, Olivia Lagoya-Weltz and Sara Diggins.

Meanwhile, Dressage under the Stars organizers have secured a few select ‘A’ list celebrity guest judges to help create excitement outside of our local equestrian community. They have been working with numerous talent agencies across the country to secure singers, song-writers, actors, and TV personalities to help judge throughout the eight week series. Of course, they have included a number of knowledgeable recognized International judges to assist in scoring the technical portion of the event.
