The Classic Company recently announced at the Classic Atlanta Fall Shows that Sponsor Coordinator Becky Miles, after 15 years of service, has retired from her position from the Classic Company.  President of Classic Company Bob Bell said, “It is with great respect and admiration that the Classic Company announces the retirement of Becky Miles from the position of Sponsor Coordinator effective December 1 this year.  Becky has worked tirelessly with the Classic Company since April 1997 and through her efforts brought the horse shows more exhibitor parties, the enjoyable Saturday pizzas along with many ‘give-aways’ for everyone at the shows. Becky has been a dedicated and loyal Classic Company employee and she will be greatly missed.  We wish her the best of luck!”

“Working out of my house most of the time and then traveling to the shows has been an awesome way to earn a living and be fully present to raise my two boys at the same time. I will be forever grateful to Bob Bell and The Classic Company for that opportunity,” Becky commented.  “I am excited about and looking forward to my next grand adventure,” she added.

Effective December 1, the Classic Company’s Sponsorship, Marketing and Public Relations efforts will be led by Lisa Engel and spearheading all Program Advertising Sales will be the responsibility of Nate Poliquin.

Lisa Engel of Ringoes, New Jersey, brings with her a strong equine marketing background that spans more than 15 years and includes public relations and sponsorships for events ranging from local shows to international three day eventing to show jumping competitions, coast to coast.  Lisa was raised in Lebanon, New Jersey and competed in the hunters, jumpers and “big equ” before heading to college in Washington, DC where she studied Political Science and English.  While working in marketing in Chicago, Illinois she attended Loyola University’s Graduate School of Business in the evenings and studied Marketing Management.  She left the corporate world for the horses and returned to riding and teaching in Chicago, then moved to New Jersey and built her own farm in Stockton, New Jersey where she ran her own show series.  She was hired by several other show companies to lead their sponsorship and marketing efforts, ranging from A shows to Dressage competitions, three day eventing and Grand Prix. She was hired by HITS in 2006 and now brings her expertise and creative marketing ideas to the Classic Company.  In addition, Lisa will lead the public relations and marketing efforts of the company as it looks to raise the prize money for its competitors while continuing its award winning customer service policy.  “I am so excited to be a part of the Classic Company.  Their commitment to quality service is second to none. I believe in exceeding expectations and work toward that in all sponsorships.  It is nice to work with a company that also embraces this philosophy.  I thank Bob Bell for the opportunity and look forward to working with him and the entire team at Classic Company.”

Nathan “Nate” Poliquin of Aiken, South Carolina has been a mainstay at most notable in-gates for the past six years.  Originally from Fayetteville, New York, Nate attended St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York and studied Political Science and History.  He got his start working the in-gate at the prestigious Syracuse show where he experienced his first World Cup Grand Prix.  “I love it, love the people and the excitement of the shows.  The days are long, but I can’t see myself doing anything else at this stage in my life.”  Nate’s outgoing personality and his “can do” attitude will undoubtedly be an asset to the Classic Company.  “We’re planning on having interesting editorial in this year’s programs, so I anticipate that many advertisers will see added value when they purchase program ad space,” said Nate.  “I’m really looking forward to hitting the ground running and meeting more of the business community at all Classic Company venues,” he added. “It’s a nice feeling to be able to tell advertisers, ‘believe me, I see everyone at the shows and they will know about you’, through the program and word of mouth,” he added.

“The Classic Company is expecting great changes going forward,” said Bell.  “We’re excited that Lisa and Nate will lead the sales team for the Classic Company.”  All sponsorship, marketing and press inquiries should be directed to Lisa Engel at classicsponsorship@gmail.com or on her cell at 908.310.6248.  All program advertising inquiries should be directed to Nate Poliquin at classicshowads@yahoo.com or on his cell at: 315.439.7290.  “They are looking forward to working with you!” he added.
