South Jordan, UT (October 6, 2016) – At the 2016 International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association (IALHA) National Championship Show, a five-year-old gelding stole not only two dressage National Champion titles, but also the highest score of the entire competition. The winning Andalusian gelding, Galante SG, and his owner and rider Robert Chapeski accepted a surplus of elaborate ribbons, including a special High Score Award contributed by The Horse of Course, Inc.

The Horse of Course, a full-service tack shop based in Claremore, Oklahoma, is widely known for traveling across the country to provide top-quality tack, fashionable and functional attire, and equine care supplies for all disciplines. The Horse of Course continually extends its support for equestrian competitors by presenting its signature High Score Award at competitions across the United States. The company was proud to bring its award to the IALHA National Championships in South Jordan, Utah this month. Chapeski and Galante SG were rewarded for their high score of 72.79 percent in the First Level Open class with an embroidered cooler, a gift certificate to The Horse of Course, and a tri-color ribbon.

Chapeski, a United States Dressage Federation (USDF) Gold Medalist, purchased his now-champion Galante SG from Spanish Gate Andalusians as a weanling. He brought up the young dressage horse at his own facility, Chapeski Dressage LLC in Florence, Montana, where he trains and competes a variety of breeds including Friesian, Haflinger, Arabian, and Warmblood horses. Chapeski’s varied experience paid off well, as Galante SG received the highest score of the show from FEI dressage judge Cesar Torrente, and also claimed victory in both the National Championship Training Level and First Level classes. “We met all our dressage goals, and then some!” Chapeski smiled.

Spanish Gate Andalusians’ owners, Cathy and Joe McCarter, have been breeding Andalusians for nearly 30 years in Bitterroot Valley, Montana and were overcome with emotion when they learned of Chapeski and Galante SG’s success. Chapeski also competed Spanish Gate Andalusians’ seven-year-old stallion, Patriotico SG, at the IALHA National Championships, with whom he claimed the Reserve National Champion title at Training Level.

The Horse of Course is proud to recognize the achievements of successful horse and rider combinations like Chapeski and Galante SG. The company also offers the tack and apparel that top riders need to keep looking and performing their best in the show ring. Chapeski looks forward to using his prize gift certificate to shop online at www.TheHorseofCourse.com.
