2013 Chicago Hunter Derby Gets TV Spots on Chicago’s Own WGN Mid Day News and CBS Chicago

Equestrian Fashion Segment and Morning Show Give Derby Exposure

Antioch, IL – August 30, 2013 – The 2013 Chicago Hunter Derby presented by Chicago Equestrians for a Cause will be featured in several TV segments this next week to increase exposure for the event to be held on September 7th and 8th in Antioch at Rush and Carl Weeden’s Annali Farm.

On Tuesday, September 3rd, Chicago’s own WGN Mid Day News will feature an equestrian fashion segment during the 11:00am news show. Barrington Saddlery is outfitting equestrian models Carl Weeden, Caitlyn Shiels and Lacey Gilbertson in this fall’s fashionable equestrian apparel. Top brands include Le Fash, Barbour, Animo, Tucci, O’Shughnessy, the Dressage Collection and more. The fashion show will accent stylish equestrian fashion for women in their 20s, 30s and 40s.

On Friday, September 6th, Vince Gerasole of CBS Chicago will be at the event location, Annali Farm, to shoot four segments for the early morning news between 5:00 am and 7:00 am. Segments will include interviews with derby riders for their perspective on the event, and course designer Bobby Murphy of Lexington, KY, will reveal some of his master course design and special jumps that he builds for this event.

Tune in to see additional segments, which may include an interview with the legendary George H. Morris, former Chef d’equipe of the United States Equestrian Team, talking about judging the event. Chicago Equestrians for a Cause members may also give a sneak peak of the weekend events, the charities involved and more.

Both TV segments will be developed and produced by Michelle Durpetti Events and Molise PR.

The Chicago Hunter Derby is celebrating its fifth anniversary and features the $50,000 International Hunter Derby, generously sponsored by Canadian Pacific (CP).
