Hannah Showell and Nashville Win $1,500 Elite Equine Sport Horse Medicine’s 1.10m Child Adult Jumper Classic
The Gulf Coast Winter Classic Pensacola Circuit is underway and Week I kicked off with the $10,000 EMO Jumper Classic at the Escambia County Equestrian Center.
The exciting class kick-started the jumper action under the covered arena. Allen Rheinheimer of Zionsville, Indiana, Classic Company Course Designer, set the time allowed was set at 74 seconds.
Juan Lavieri of Columbia, Connecticut and his own Don Pedro were first to go in the Saturday night feature event and won the class after posting double clear rounds in times of 68.327 seconds and 31.817 seconds. Mary Lisa Leffler of Brookeville, Maryland and Rolling Acres’ Bling Bling grabbed second place after posting a clear first round in a time of 66.142 seconds and an eight fault second round in a time of 30.445 seconds.
Third was awarded to Shannon Hicks and Helen Gilbert’s Al Pacini posting a four fault first round in a time of 66.557 seconds and fourth went to Ashley Foster and Rolling Acres’ Carlsberg for a four fault first round effort in a time of 73.350 seconds.
Hicks returned for a fifth place ribbon this time in the irons of Helen Gilbert’s C’Havinia after posting an eight fault first round in a time of 63.825 seconds.
Sixth was awarded to Leffler and Rolling Acres’ Carlot, Hicks and Ashley Shaw’s Capua received seventh place, and Lavieri and Cassidy Equestrian Services placed eighth. For full results, please visit horseshowsonline.com.
