10th Anniversary
of Centered Riding's International Symposium
Plan to attend
our special celebration at the Quality Inn, November 4-6 in
Sally Swift's home town, Brattleboro, Vermont.
Our keynote speaker is
the very popular author, clinician and judge, Dr Max Gahwyler.
Dr Gahwyler is a frequent contributer to Dressage Today
and other notable magazines. He was named to the USDF (US
Dressage Federation) Hall of Fame in 2004 for his contributions
to the growth of dressage in America.
Our featured speaker is
Tom Nagl presenting Zen and Horsemanship. To find out more
about Tom go to Zen and the Horse .
Friday we'll
be holding our Annual General Meeting at 4:30 p.m. followed
at 6 by a reception with a cash bar and lots of good
eats in honor of Sally Swift. Saturday morning and afternoon
we have an exciting roster of speakers followed
by Happy Hour, a fantastic buffet dinner and Dr Gahwyler's
presentation. Sunday is also filled with great presentations.
For those wanting to attend only part of the Symposium,
we have broken down the Symposium fee structure. The Quality
Inn is once again giving us a great room rate of only $69/night
for single or double occupancy which includes a great hot
buffet breakfast. You do need to book your rooms before October 20th to
get this special rate and tell them that you are part of
the Centered Riding group. To make your reservations
at the Inn contact them
at (802) 254-8701 or fax (802) 257-4727.
Knight Equestrain Books will
be at the Symposium from Saturday noon to Sunday noon with
a great selection of books including those by Max Gahwyler
and Tom Nagl.

so successful last year we're holding it again this year.
All funds raised go to support the Sally Swift Scholarship
Fund. If you or anyone you know could donate an item or
service to our auction it would be appreciated. All donations
are tax deductable and receipts will be issued at the value
of the item or services. For those of you who are not residents

Centered Riding
at first Swiss National Horse Expo!
Centered
Riding made a big splash recently at the Bern Agricultural Expo
in Bern Switzerland at the very first Swiss National Horse Expo
where the Swiss Centered Riding Instructors Group organized
a fabulous display on Centered Riding.
Centered Riding
gives a big "Thank You" to Christa Müller for
the hours she spent arranging and organizing this extraordinary
event and to the wonderful Swiss instructors who displayed
such a high degree of professionalism and enthusiasm as they
worked together not only to promote their own lesson programs
but also to promote Centered Riding in Europe. The
Swiss Centered Riding Instructors deserve our admiration and
congratulations for their recent success!
